Making lives better

Better Bags Australia is a small, grassroots program providing essentials, comforts and hygiene products to people in our community who are living on the streets.
Our packs are donated by local community members; a small donation bag with a big impact. The bags are handed out in the Sydney CBD on a quarterly basis, in partnership with Pass It On Clothing and their weekly outreach program.
One-time, Better Bags ambassadors help us to collect and provide packs by committing to a season and using their own networks to build and supply donation bags, to contribute to the outreach program.

Support Better Bags

Become a One-Time Ambassador

Our ambassadors help us to achieve our goal of 100 packs per quarter. As an ambassador, you commit to 10 packs for an outreach program, promoted and collected through your own networks. 10 ambassadors per quarter = 100 packs! We provide you with everything you need to promote the program with a list of items required, and arrange a drop off location for you.

Clothing donations

If you would like to donate clothing, we are in partnership with Pass It On Clothing, a wonderful Sydney-based non-profit who run a weekly outreach in the Sydney CBD each week and pass donations on directly to the community living on the streets. Or, donate funds to purchase a gift for someone in need through their shop in The Metcentre on George St.

December 2023 - Christmas Program

Christmas is our most heart-warming program, and seeing faces of relief and joy each year when our recipients receive their packs just says it all.

We generally need 70/30 men's to women's packs, and M and XL are our most needed sizes. Please let us know when you register which gender you will be donating.

If you would like to donate or become an ambassador for our Christmas 2023 outreach program:

1. Please register your donation via the contact form below.

2. Purchase a reusable zip-up shopping bag (supermarket bags are great) and fill your pack with the items below.

3. Write the size and gender the pack is made for on top of the bag.

4. Drop off your packs to one of the following locations BEFORE SUNDAY 10th DECEMBER

Sydney:

4. Receive an email after our outreach night with images to see how your packs were directly given to those in need.

If you register to be a one-time ambassador, committing to collecting and donating 10 packs from your networks, you will receive an email with support and guidance to help you achieve this! What a great way to directly impact our community, and wonderful to get the kids and family involved in this initiative!
